Flycasting equipment has evolved over the years even though the basic needs have been the same. Finding tackle that "fits" can take some time and money. Think of flyfishing as a science and your gear as the tools. Experimenting with different tools can lead to a great cast! Spend some time discussing rod options with various fly shops to get a set-up that you can learn on. Don't spend too much!
